The Bamenda I Council is pleased to inform the public and community stakeholders that during its official Budgetary Session held on December 13, 2024, at the Council Chambers, the Municipal Councilors gathered to deliberate and establish the municipality’s financial framework for the 2025 fiscal year.
In strict conformity with Sections 165–196 of Law No. 2019/024 of 24th December 2019 instituting the General Code of Regional and Local Authorities, the Council unanimously passed Deliberation No. 01/12/DEL/B1C/BS/2024. Continuing our trajectory of civic growth, the 2025 budget stands balanced in both revenue and expenditure at 1,100,000,000 FCFA (One billion one hundred million FCFA).
Highlights of the 2025 Budgetary Session

Unanimous Adoption: The draft budget of 1.1 Billion FCFA was carefully reviewed and voted on unanimously by the sitting councilors.

Active Representation: Out of 30 councilors in office, 27 were present in person during the plenary session, with 3 councilors represented by proxy.

Leadership & Executive Approval: The session was held under the leadership of Mayor Mbigha Njah Felix alongside Secretary General Fru Blessing Neh. Formal approval was granted by the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh.
Implementation & Local Impact
As outlined in Article 2 of the deliberation, the Mayor, the Secretary General, and the Municipal Treasurer are each tasked within their respective spheres with the immediate, transparent implementation of this budget.
This increased financial layout for 2025 emphasizes the Council’s firm commitment to accelerating sustainable local development, strengthening public infrastructure, and providing enhanced municipal services across the Bamenda I Sub-Division.
