Historic Milestone: Bamenda I Council Adopts Benchmark 1 Billion FCFA Budget for Fiscal Year 2024!
The Bamenda I Council is thrilled to share a major milestone with the public and residents of the sub-division: during the official Budgetary Session held on December 21, 2023, in the Council Chambers, the Municipal Councilors voted to adopt a historic financial plan for the 2024 fiscal year.
Convened in full compliance with Sections 165–196 of Law No. 2019/024 of 24th December 2019 bearing on the General Code of Regional and Local Authorities, the Council passed Deliberation No. 01/12/DEL/B1C/BS/2023. For the first time, the Council’s budget has reached a landmark balance in revenue and expenditure at 1,000,000,000 FCFA (One Billion FCFA).
